Victor Kazan and I were thrilled with the industry readings of the show held on September 25 at Pearl Studios in midtown here in New York. Our cast were exemplary (see images and details below) as were the 7-piece band so ably directed from the piano by our Musical Director, Matt Castle.
Ultimately any theatrical production relies on the talent and expertise of the stage director. In this case, we were delighted that Martin Platt agreed to take on this responsbility, with additional support from David Elliott from Perry Street Theatricals as our general managers.
These industry reading presentations would not really have been possible at this time of the year for us unless we had prior been invited to take part in the 2nd Annual Florida Festival of New Musicals in Orlando (FL) which immediately preceded the New York presentations. To Roy and Heather at the Winter Park Playhouse, we will be eternally indebted.
So who comprised this incredbile AEA cast put together by the wonderful team at Stephanie Klapper Casting?
